Brands
Manage the store's brands in one place — and what to know before deleting a brand that products still use.
Brands live under Manage → Brands (vi: Quản lý → Thương hiệu). The screen lists Name, Slug and Products — how many products use that brand — with a count line, "N brands in this store".
Create and edit
New brand asks for Name, Slug, Logo (a URL) and Description. Only the name is required; leave the slug empty and it is generated.
A name that matches an existing brand is refused: "A brand with this name
already exists." The comparison ignores case and stray spaces, so acme and
Acme are the same brand.
A product does not keep a brand name as its own text — it points at the brand. Renaming a brand renames it on every product that uses it, in one step.
You do not have to come here first. On the product form, type a name that does not exist yet and choose Create "what you typed"; the brand is created when you save the product. See Products and variants.
Deleting
The confirmation Delete brand "…"? states the consequence: "N products will lose this brand. The products themselves are kept." Nothing is deleted from the catalogue; the products just end up with an empty brand — so read N before you click.
Old spellings were merged
Brand used to be free text, so one maker could sit under several spellings
(acme , ACME, Acme). When brands became real records those spellings were
merged into one brand per store (for example acme → Acme), and every
product now points at the merged brand. No product lost its brand; you simply
see a shorter list.
